Multigenerational Living

A building for several generations in up to 3 units should be built in Munich in a context of villas from the Wilhelminian style to modern era.

Project description

A building is required, which provides a solution of living for a family through 3 stages of life. Based on the transformability of the building, some parameters have been set for the future. For example, two independently functioning staircases, space groups convertible later, possibilities of separation without loss of spatial quality and the number of rooms. Accordingly, a basic principle was developed were further changes would be possible. The flexibility is possible due to 2 separate entrances. The unit on the ground floor is accessed via the east side and connected by internal staircase to the first floor. The OG and DG is reached via a separate staircase in the north. Therefor, the floor is independently or can be switched to the ground floor or the upper floor.

The building is planned as a two-storey masonry with roof top floor in timber construction.
