Residenzpassage

The concept for the underground passage is based on emphasizing the contrast between the monolithic raw material of the ceiling and walls to the very distinct character of the existing floor material and pattern.

Project description

The material of the wall should not be taken as "under designed" when seen in contrast to the fine details display cabinets. For this reason the wall was refined without hiding it's origin. Although blasted ort sprayed concrete is difficult to work, it was decided to add an ornamental touch with "reefs" using base coated Plexigalss to give the necessary finish.
